Application  Polyene antifungal antibiotic from Streptomyces. Affinity for sterols, primarily ergosterols, of fungal cell membranes. Forms channels in the membranes, causing small molecules to leak out.

Recommended for use in cell culture applications at 5.6 mg (solid)/L.
